The much talked about #Rachel from the George Zimmerman Trial
This is the video that everyone is talking about.
- First, the defense attorney kept requesting her to repeat questions when she being questioned by the prosecuting attorney. Using the Alley McBeal tactics in court.
- People have been insulting Rachel because she is a bilingual individual because of her looks and her demeanor toward the defense attorney (West).
- The defense is "having a problem" understanding her English. Now, if he knew that English is not her first language and a problem, then why didn't they give her a translator? hmm
My thoughts are: that Rachel is person that was heavily impacted by the death of the death of Trevyon and did not want to be star of anything. When she said, "you don't understand. You don't understand.." I could feel her pain. She did not want to see her friend dead, and to know that she witness his death via phone call. In addition, the thump she heard could have been the shot from the gun, the fist of Zimmerman hitting him in the chest..
Next, the prosecuting attorney was purposefully getting her irritated. His tone is confrontative, unlike when he speaks to other witnesses. She is just not mature enough at this age to look over his behavior. Therefore, people should just let her be.. Not all witness want to be witness to a crime; especially when it is someone you care about!
